By purchasing a service from www.singleconnection.co.uk (Site) you enter a legal and binding agreement with us on the following terms. You should read and understand these terms because they affect your rights and liabilities.
These terms describe the basis for purchase by you and the sale by us of the services described on this website.

1.1. By signing up for both Single Connection membership and events through our website “www.singleconnection.co.uk” you then enter a legal and binding agreement with us on the following terms set out below. You should read and understand these terms because they affect your rights and liabilities.
1.2. These terms set out the basis of any membership or event purchased by you and any membership and event sold by us of the services described on this website.
2. Definitions and Interpretations
2.1. In these terms the following words have the following meanings:
2.1.1. Contract: the contract for the sale and the purchase of the services
2.1.2. Services: the range of events and memberships available for purchase from our site in accordance with these terms.
2.1.3. Site: our presence on the world-wide web, currently accessible via the address www.singleconnection.co.uk
2.1.4. Seller, we, our or us: Single Connection, 100 Morningside Road, EH10 4BY
2.1.5. "You" and "Your" means the person purchasing the service from us, who must be single and over the age of 30, you must not have a criminal record, you must treat all other members and staff with every respect and you must not indulge in excessive drinking.
3. Registration
3.1. To become a member or sign up for events on our site you must register with us.
3.2. To register you must be over 30 years of age, live in the UK, and have a UK bank issued credit or debit card acceptable to us in your name and provide us with the same address as the card is registered to.
3.3. When you register you must choose a unique password. Please keep this information safe. As part of our security system our administration staff can not remind you what your password is. We can send an email reminder to the email address you first supplied us upon registration.
3.4. We reserve the right to decline an application of membership or attendance of an event or holiday by you or to cancel your membership at any time without giving reasons.
3.5. Participation in all Single Connection events is entirely at your own risk and no liability will be accepted by the owner.
4. Basis of the Sale
4.1. Our site invites you to purchase membership or book events from us. Once you have sent an order to us using the site we will send you a purchase acknowledgement by email setting out what you have ordered. This is not an acceptance of your order by us. A legally binding contract with you will only arise once we have confirmed your membership or event request to you as set out below.
4.2. We aim to give you a clear idea of the nature of the services we sell. Illustrations, descriptions, and other information are approximate and are for guidance only.
5. Details of the order
5.1. Orders are accepted at our sole discretion but we will normally accept an order if the services are available, the order reflects current pricing.
6. Price of the services
6.1. All prices quoted are British pounds (£) on all relevant services. Prices are updated and changed regularly. Services are only sold at the price on the site at the time of ordering irrespective of any previous advertised price, or any new price that comes into effect after the order has been placed.
7. Unable to attend an event(s)
7.1. It is entirely up to you to get to the event you have signed up for and if you do not turn up we can not offer any refunds.
7.2. We take no responsibility if you can not attend events or make use of your membership for any reason.
8. Events cancelled out with our control
8.1 In the cancellation of a event due to problems within the venue, if the event has been paid for in advance and the venue can not offer a refund we cannot accept responsibility.
9. Payment Terms
9.1. We will authorise your credit/debit card account for payment upon receipt of order and your card will be charged at the point of ordering, including any booking fees. We do not accept liability if a membership or event booking is delayed because you did not give us the right payment details or you do not sufficient funds in your bank account.
9.2. We will take all reasonable care to keep all information connected with your order secure but we cannot be held liable for any loss that you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any data, including credit and account details you provide when accessing or ordering from this website, unless this is solely due to our negligence.
10. Events out of Places
10.1. Although every care is taken to monitor event availability, occasionally we may have sold out of an event before you order a place. In such cases our customer service staff will contact you with a suggested substitute event if available. Any agreement with our staff will have the effect of varying the order you have made. You may request a refund on the unavailable item which you have ordered as an alternative.
11. Matters out of control
11.1. We will not be liable to you or in breach of the Contract for delay or failure to perform due to a cause beyond our reasonable control.
12. Copyright
12.1. All of the written, photographic, design, video and audio content of the website together with the selection and arrangement of it and all software compilations are our copyrighted property or that of the people who have granted to us the right to use it and is protected as such. All rights are reserved.
12.2. None of this material may be used without our written permission. You may download or print a single copy for your own non-commercial off-line viewing.
12.3. All names, logos, slogans, or other phrases may be a trade mark of ours or another person or corporation. Any unauthorised use of trademark is illegal.
13. Privacy
13.1. Please read our privacy policy.
14. General
14.1. Emails to you will be sent to the address you specify to us. You must only provide us with a valid email address and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that address.
15. Governing Law
15.1. This contract is subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. To the extent that any provision of these terms is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, in any jurisdiction, that provision will be deemed not to be a part of these terms, it will not affect the enforceability of the remainder of these terms nor will it affect the validity, lawfulness or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.
